Purpose-built, Navy-grade vessels maintained to the highest standards
Our vessels were purpose-built by the Royal New Zealand Navy at Devonport, Auckland between 1986 and 1989, to a British admiral barge design. They are incredibly robust craft that display excellent seakeeping qualities — exactly what's needed for the sometimes unpredictable Hauraki Gulf.
As you would expect of vessels with a Royal Navy pedigree, they are maintained to a very high standard and regularly audited for safety compliance. Each boat carries high-quality GPS navigation equipment, life vests, and fire extinguishers as standard.
Both vessels have comfortable seating with a capacity of up to 11 passengers and a reasonable amount of luggage — ideal for private groups, island trips, and commercial transport alike.
